It's a cruel Tammany Hall cartel...That's the allegation from a coalition who want horses banned from pulling carriages around Central Park, and it's environs. The mainly-Irish American (and heavily unionized) drivers say the animal rights' lot are behaving like mobsters themselves and terrorizing little girls. It's a classic New York story. This ran on the flagship BBC Today programme, a few days back.
